Chris is currently a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, UK where he works in the Global Systems Institute. His main research focus is looking for early warning signals of tipping points in, and the monitoring of resilience of climate systems. Recently, he has considered whether these same signals can be found in other systems. For example, measuring individual countries resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic. More generally he considers himself a data scientist who enjoys playing with large datasets, providing he can somehow make it a part of the work he’s employed to do!
